Saul didn't follow "the commandment of Yahweh", and was succeeded by David. Adam didn't follow The Commandment from Yahweh, and was succeeded by Jesus.
“My teaching is not my own; it is his who sent me. If anyone has the will to do God’s will, they will find out whether my teaching is from God, or whether I speak on my own authority. The person who speaks on their own authority seeks honor for themselves; but the one who seeks the honor of him who sent him is sincere, and there is nothing false in him. John 7 (OEB)
Submitting to the authority and will of God is necessary to walk in the truth. Jesus was speaking on the Father's authority. He did not ‘come from’ man, but was appointed as the prince of peace by God.
Grant us help from the foe, for human help is worthless. With God we shall yet do bravely, he himself will tread down our foes. Psalm 108 (OEB)
Only by His power can we overtake our enemies. The devil is seeking to destroy us by sin. Find your confidence with God. You can't do it of your own power; by The Spirit, put to death the wicked deeds your fleshly body desires.
